King Philippe Celebrates Anniversary of Belgian Gingerbread Maker

According to the Royal Forums:

Belgium’s King Philippe paid a visit to Lebbeke on Tuesday, where he stopped at the Vondelmolen NV factory.

The company, which is the largest producer of gingerbread in Belgium, this year celebrates their 150th anniversary, the reason for their royal visit. King Philippe was given a tour of the factory, donning a white lab coat and paper hat as he was shown the different machinery which produces the gingerbread. Vondelmolen NV is the largest industrial employer in Belgium, employing over 88,000 individuals directly.

The visit was also held in conjunction with the 80th anniversary of the Belgian Food Federation.
