Grandson shows Churchill’s house to Prince of Wales

According to The Telegraph:

The Prince was shown around Chartwell by Sir Nicholas Soames, the grandson of Sir Winston who grew up there and has fond memories of his family in situ.

Later this year, Sir Winston’s bedroom will be part of the tour for the first time…

Although the house has been open to the public since 1966, it is only now with the passing of time that it was considered suitable to open the intimate space of the bedroom.

…an enormous globe…[was] sent over from America especially so that Sir Winston could look at precisely the same map as President Roosevelt.
