…The Queen…attend[ed] the unveiling of a Windsor Greys statue in Windsor Town Centre.
Windsor Greys are a breed of horse which has been used by the Royal family since Victorian times to draw carriages. They…are still used at events such as Royal Ascot, Trooping the Colour and to draw the coaches which bring Ambassadors and High Commissioners to Buckingham Palace for audiences with Her Majesty.
The statue marks 60 years of The Queen’s Coronation in 2013 and the important role played by Windsor Greys in the ceremonial life of the Royal family and the Nation.
