Royal Crown of Hanover displayed publicly for the first time

According to The Royal Forums:

The heirs of Hanover yesterday officially opened The Road To The Crown – The Kingdom of Hanover and Its Rulers exhibition celebrating the history of the Hanoverian Kingdom.

The exhibition features 70 pieces which illustrate Hanover’s history. The royal crown and sceptre are amongst these, displayed for the first time since the Kingdom of Hanover was annexed by the Kingdom of Prussia in 1866.

2014 marks the 300th anniversary of the union between Hanover and Great Britain…

The Road To The Crown – The Kingdom of Hanover and Its Rulers will run at Schloss Marienburg until November 9.
