According to the London Evening Standard:
William, 31, was travelling from Memphis to Dallas in the United States on Sunday after celebrating the wedding of his best friend Guy Pelly.
Reporter Eli Ross, who has been covering the trip for Local 24 News…Memphis, posted a picture of the Prince on the American Airlines flight on Twitter.
The cost of the trip is being met privately by the Prince and his brother Harry, who has also travelled Stateside for the marriage celebration.
The Queen has previously urged members of the royal family to show restraint with their finances, particularly during the recession.
