On December 16, the late King Michael’s funeral took place at St. Joseph’s Cathedral in Bucharest. King Michael was later buried beside his late wife, Queen Anne, at the Curtea de Argeș.
…in attendance at the funeral were the Prince of Wales, the former Queen of Greece, Queen Sofia and King Juan Carlos of Spain, Princess Astrid and Prince Lorenz of Belgium, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden, Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg, Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna of Russia…
The President and First Lady of Romania also honoured the late king at his state funeral.
