H.I.R.H. DOM ANTONIO OF ORLEANS-BRAGANZA, IMPERIAL PRINCE OF BRAZIL (1950-2024)
We fulfill the painful duty of announcing the death of His Imperial and Royal Highness the Prince Imperial of Brazil, Dom Antonio of Orleans and Braganza in Rio de Janeiro today, November 8, 2024, aged 74, comforted by the Sacraments of the Holy Church, as Our Lord saw fit to call him to Himself.
He leaves his spouse, the Imperial Dowager Princess of Brazil, Christine de Ligne of Orleans-Braganza; and children, the Imperial Prince of Brazil, Dom Rafael of Orleans-Braganza and the Princesses Gabriela and Amelia of Orleans-Braganza; a son-in-law, James Spearman, and grandchildren, Joaquim and Nicholas Spearman.
Deeply saddened, Prince Bertrand of Orleans-Braganza, Head of the Imperial House of Brazil, asks everyone to pray for the soul of his beloved and always loyal brother.
Information about the funeral will be issued in due course.
